Nothing available: There is no therapy for this disease beyond supportive care until the process self heals over time. There is a vaccine to prevent it, but if you have it, the vaccine would not help. Good basic nutrition, restorative sleep & time are the factors that lead to resolution.

The ways we can control hbv are through a person's immune response, or with antiviral medications that prevent the virus from making copies of itself. Current hbv medications are very effective and well tolerated. People may also need screening for liver cancer.
