Nephrogenic DI: Flatulence after colorectal surgery is not uncommon, especially in the early post-op stage. Dietary modification/alteration may help. Water intake of 2 liters is not excessive depending on ones needs. Nephrogenic diabetes insipidous secondary to hypercalcmia of neoplastic etiology can explaine the increased water intake. Di can persist after hyprcalcemia subsides. Internal med consult is advised.
