No clear answer: There is likely no harm from taking both but do note that carvedilol , a beta blocker, may worsen your asthma and reduce the effectiveness of the long-acting bronchodilator in Advair. I think this combination should be evaluated individually although I prefer using other options for BP in asthma whenever possible. On the other hand, I have seen patients on this combination without problem.

Yes: Definitely- I use Carvedilol in my heart failure patients many of whom have some forms of lung disease on Advsir and it is tolerated fine.
