You confirmed upper respiratory tract infection and apart from the antibiotics the lymphnode in your throat has had to react to the infection especially side involved; release of chemicals and swelling could affect the nerves and cause pain. Good you got evaluated and you are on antibiotics, just wait for the reactive process that is causing pain to subside. Salt gargle or lozenges may help.
