Not recommended: For itching from heat rash, the best thing to do is prevent it by keeping him cool and dry. Put him in light clothing and avoid overheating when possible (avoid car rides in the heat of the day ). For the urticaria, your doctor may be able to help figure out what is causing the hives. Calamine is not very helpful. For itching due to insect bites, i like caladryl clear best.
