A member asked:

Im 34 male. recently had an echocardiogram as they thought i had lvh. turns out everything is fine. i still do get pressure in my left arm every few days and when i take a bayer it usually subsides. my blood results are perfect. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Left arm discomfort: If you're concerned about coronary artery blockages, a resting echocardiogram doesn't test for that . A maximal treadmill stress test is the screening test for that. If your resting 12 lead EKG shows an abnormal pattern, a stress test using an accompanying nuclear scan or a stress echocardiogram should be done as the resting EKG st-t wave abnormalities prevent diagnostic interpretation.
