A member asked:

Will left ventricle index mass be high if blood pressure is high at the time of echocardiogram?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Our echocardiogram dept doesn't compute this it but ventricular mass index is essentially a measure of the weight of the left ventricle. I don't think it varies from day to day but is a cumulative effect of blood pressure's effect on the heart. The equation used.makes it closely related to body weight also. & tends to increase with age.
