Evaluation : There may be a specific treatable infection. Watch for signs of redness of the eyes, peeling skin,rash,swelling and poor feeding. If these occur, please see the ED right away Other considerations include COVID 19.

Get checked out: I always recommend being seen after 5 days of fever. Most viruses are better by then. Things that cause persistent fever can be relatively benign like ear infections and sinus infections but those require treatment. Other, not so benign things, can also cause prolonged fever and need to be ruled out.
