Oral surgeon: This may be a quite elusive diagnosis to make,but it may be a variant of temporomandibular joint syndrome, especially if the hinge of the jaw is involved with the discomfort. My advice is to consult an oral surgeon, preferably at a department of oral surgery at a university hospital.
