Exam advised: This may have been a syncopal episode caused by a postural drop in blood pressure while standing in the shower even though it wasn't extremely hot. Other possibilities include a seizure or cardiac arrhythmia. In this situation, which was unwittnessed, it's best to get checked with blood pressure taken sitting and standing, an EKG and basic blood tests to look for anemia, electrolyte abnormalities
