See your Dr.: Lactation suppression takes from a few days to several months. If you are still lactating at 6 months and you have not been regularly expressing breastmilk (which stimulates them to produce more) you should see your Dr. Normally, ice packs, acetaminophen and time help relieve the symptoms, but persistent leaking or breast engorgement could indicate that something else is going on.
