A member asked:

In people who have major respiratory issues, does their oxygen stay below 95% or can it fluctuate and hit 96-98% occasionally. sometimes mine shows 93% other times it shows 95-98?

Some thoughts...: There are many different types of respiratory issues (major vs. minor is sort of vague). For example, a person with proper blood circulation to one-and-a-half good lungs but is missing his other half-lung should be able to oxygenate his blood just fine. When talking about oxygen saturation percentages, realize you are talking about a machine's displayed number, which may or may not be accurate.
