A member asked:

Aside from respiratory distress, when do you place someone on oxygen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oxygen: oxygen is used when the blood oxygen level is low. It will not necessarily help shortness of breath particularly when the oxygen levels are normal. Oxygen is also used for carbon monoxide poisoning and a few other special situations.
