What would make my thigh hurt when i pivot? thr 9 months ago. burning pain if i pivot on that leg, top of thigh, lateral closest to front of thigh, near greater trochanter area. the first time it happened i felt a popping sensation.

Please repost: Please repost and clarify what you mean by “pivot”. Do you mean a movement strictly at the hip joint? Internal or external rotation of the thigh? Simultaneous flexion, extension, abduction or adduction of the limb, or none or any of these? Weight-bearing, non-weight-bearing, or both?
