Depends on cause: Most often sore throats are caused by benign reasons such as dryness, viral infections, allergies. As long as its not severe, try simple things such as warm water gargles, throat lozenges or maybe even some tylenol (acetaminophen). If it hurts alot or not getting better, please see your doctor so it can be looked at directly. Feel better!

Early sore throat: There are many causes for sore throat. The list includes: dryness, allergy, acid reflux, viral illness (i.e., common cold), bacterial illness(i.e., sytrep. Throat), etc. Gargle with warm salt water. Use humidifier. Chloraseptic spray. Drink plenty fluids and rest. Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever or pain. If symtoms get worse or persist, see your primary care doctor.
