A member asked:

For past few months, in the morning, my oral temp is 97.9f but spikes to 99.5-99.8f in the late afternoon. i swear a bit and feel clammy. is this considered a low grade fever or normal temperature fluctuation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: The expected variation in body is influenced by activities. It is usually at it's lowest during deep sleep and goes up with activities of daily living to peak in the afternoon.
