Any recommendations on how to prevent styes? they tend to last for a long time for me. stye

Quick treatment: There is no way to prevent them from starting although some would advocate lid hygiene to lower the incidence. The best solution is to apply very warm (not hot) compresses at the earliest symptom which usually will prevent the development into a full blown stye.
