Could be: magnesium has muscle relaxation effects generally, which can be helpful with the tension from anxiety, & can promote better sleep. There are different magnesium compounds (mag oxide, mag Glycinate, etc)& they are absorbed differently but would probably have similar effects on anxiety in the long run.
