Swellimg?: Possibilities: 1. Clear watery fluid is infammatory fluid 2. If toe is very swollen then it is a fracture 3. If toe is red and swollen it is infected 4. If no pain then don't worry about it.

Possible infection: Any type of drainage even if it looks like water can be signs of infection. See doc that will take a culture of the drainage and likely antibiotics.
