U HAVE SCRATCHED OFF: ..the dermal layer, & have a full thickness loss over the vein. elevate, ice, mild pressure & it will stop bleeding and heal. use an antibiotic cream, was often with soap and H2O. next time have some OTC steroid cream handy, & apply it 2 an area U start 2 scratch, & hands off.
