See below: It seems your providers tried to rule in/out celiac disease. Individuals with thyroiditis, type I diabetes ( history of DM in first degree relative), Down syndrome, William syndrome, Turner syndrome , or IG A deficiency are at higher risk to develop celiac disease. Screening Test of choice will be TTG (anti-tissue Transglutaminase) IG A antibody. If positive, intestinal biopsy will be the next.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the elevated IgA may be a non-specific indication of liver or intestinal disorder. Wish you good health!
