Usually rare: Ovarian cysts are solid/fluid-filled pockets in/on your ovary. They’re common, especially in women who are pregnant or who haven’t gone through menopause yet. Most of the time, they’re painless and harmless. They usually go away on their own without treatment. In pregnancy, any cysts will be followed on Ultrasound to monitor size and position. You would only be high risk if the cyst enlarges.
