Many possible causes: In USA in adults, most common cause of new onset diarrhea unassociated with fever for greater than 1 week is an infection of the gastro-intestinal tract, either viral or parasitic. Other causes are new onset of food allergy/lactose intolerance. If you have fever, weight loss or abdominal pain see a doctor. Otherwise hydrate well, take some Pepto-Bismol and wait 3-5 days before seeing an MD
