Took 250mg of cefuroxime 2x for 5 days ending 5 days back. watery diarrhea once or twice a day starting on day 3 of meds but has continued. cause for concern or wait a few more days? (take ppis daily

Probably ok: If you develop fever or bloody diarrhea then you need testing for c-difficile. This doesn't sound like the case with you. What you describe should pass quickly. The right kind of probiotics can help.

Don't ignore: This may be a side effect of your antibiotic and i would suggest starting a yogurt daily and/ or probiotics. I would also notify your prescribing physician as you can have overgrowth of the bacteria that normally lives in your colon. This can cause a serious bacterial infection so i would not wait a few days to contact your M.D.
