It's week 14 of open surgery, mesh for inguinal hernia and i was wondering can i return to running and jump rope. also at this point should i be worried about getting a recurrent hernia from lifting weights, jumping, or sneezing?

Mesh & hernia repair: Surgeons are obliged to provide post-operative advice to patients. Should be able to resume full activities 3 months after hernia surgery. Unusual to require mesh for open inguinal hernia surgery in young men as is designed more for use in minimally invasive laparoscopic repair. Combining mesh with open repair should provide an extra layer of suecurity. Feel safe.
