A member asked:

Thank you dr for the answer but, on hypertension and chari, my cardiologist believes my painful symptoms are raising my blood pressure. can this be true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain feels bad: Pain will raise a person's blood pressure. Pain hurts; pain feels bad. That makes one's heart rate increase and blood pressure rise. One's primary care doctor can look at the whole picture and offer help. Specialist care may add treatment ideas too.
