COVID concerns: If you have untreated or poorly controled diabetes with conditions like Ketoacidosis, that could put you at risk for more severe COVID 19 infection. However, controlled diabetes is not of such a concern. BUT, if your finger infection is not coming under control, than medical assessment is warranted.

Agree with Dr. F: It would be prudent to get care for the finger infection, especially if your diabetes is not well controlled. If you develop breathing difficulty, go to the nearest hospital, immediately. Wish you good health!
