I have tested positive for covid a month ago . i was in icu for a week as i was having breathing problems . i am out of hospital for 2 weeks now and i am still positive . i do have diabetes and asthma . what do i do now. do i just wait it out .

Reevaluation: The PCR test may remain positive for some time, but does not necessarily correspond to active viral disease. You have two chronic conditions which may complicate your course. A follow up chest radiograph, oximetry and monitoring your temperature is advised. Watch for signs of secondary or recurrent infection, including fever, chills, shortness of breath. Continue your asthma plan as recommended.

Depends on your: Symptoms. Generally if you have no further symptoms of Covid after hospitalization no further intervention is required. Continued positive test may occur or even reoccurrence of Covid test without indication of active Covid. Good control of chronic conditions are essential
