A member asked:

At this time of year, i get allergy-induced asthma which *always* leads to a bout of bronchitis that requires a breathing treatment and steroid shot at urgent care. due to the covid-19 outbreak, would it be wise for me to wear a cloth-type mask, not for

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not cloth: There isn't a lot of information out about using cloth masks specifically with COVID-19, but data from studies done on other respiratory infections, cloth masks can actually be worse than not wearing any at all. If you are a population at risk, the best thing you can do is stay home. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4420971/
