It is best that you see a medical professional that would be able to help you: to make the appropriate diagnosis and management of what is causing the shortness of breadth. It is important to realize that is worse on waking up may mean there is much dust in your bed/room. It is important to cut down environmental dust with regular laundry of beddings and damp cleaning to reduce dust and limit rug.

Your body is talking to you. Listen and take good notes. Then share with your Dr and you all will be able to figure out what is going on and how to fix it. You need a Dr to talk to you, examine you and likely do a pulmonary function test to see what is going on.
