About 3 months ago, i removed my own iud (mirena), my and my spouse have been trying to conceive but no luck. i was wanting to know if i maybe had meds something up by doing this. i have a son and nothing like this happened, it was fast. ?

Some basics: The cited average wait for a desired pregnancy is 6 mo with a range of weeks to a year.Some cite that a hormonal IUD like the minera can delay normal fertility resumption for up to a year after removal. You can discuss this with your doc and may want to do some basic fertility studies (both parents) if a year goes by without success.
