Uvula edema: This can be an early sign of an allergy to a medicine or other allergen - called angioedema. It can also happen with early infection - Strep, or viral. If the swelling affects your ability to swallow or breathe, you need to go to an ED. Benadryl can be used, salt water gargles;if it worsens go to an emergency dept.
