Depends one degrre: You only need one healthy lung to be able tolive a normallife.So if your lung scarring is not causing you much breathing difficlties(short ness of breath on walking) then you can live a long life. If there is limitations on your activity due to breathing, then it can cause somec ompromise of length of life but usually such things are not always progressive.
