Protein: Supplements (whey) may be appropriate for those who train vigorously & consistently, in order to add to a diet lacking in sufficient protein. Whey proteins are high in sulfur-containing bcaas but may not be appropriate for individuals who are lactose intolerant or have kidney related problems. Other sources include lentils, beans , quinoa.

Whey protein: Yes, whey protein is excellent. Other excellent proteins are: Egg white is superior to all. Quinoa is excellent. Beans and lentils are excellent. Milk protein is excellent. Whole grains are good but not sufficient. Nuts are excellent. Yogurt is excellent. Be careful - excess protein can worsen kidney stone condition. Be sure you drink 3-4 liters per day
