A member asked:

Can a normal gp remove my mirena?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: Many GPs will have both the training & experience to remove an IUD. A call to the office nurse may clarify if such procedures are part of the care offered. Some may defer this when it is not a practice common in the region.
