Odd question: The Minera IUD must be placed by someone trained in the technique. In the USA this is not something you pick up at the pharmacy for self use. You go to a trained doc, either GP or OBGYN who provides/inserts it. Your local practice in South Africa may differ.

As my gp can see and feel the mirena (levonorgestrel) threads does it mean it's in place? As they wont give me a scan.
I had mirena inserted last year. But I spot. A GP gave me cyklokapron for it. My gynie said she checked the mirena and other, everything is fine even the slight bleeding. Is it ok if I use the cyklokapron on these occasions as needed going forward?
I have the mirena for 5 months.on my last visit i was told i have myomas.im having my period for 10 to 15 days in the past 4 months with very bad pain in pelvic area and lower back that comes and goes.
