A member asked:

How long does it take for hormones to return to normal levels after mirena was removed?

A couple of weeks: 4 days for the Mirena medication to dissipate. 2 -3 weeks to start ovulation, if ovulation was regular prior to Mirena placement, if irregular prior, consider discussing with your doctor on expectations and possible treatment.

The elimination: half-life is about 17 hours, so after about 4 days essentially all of the hormone should be gone.
