Can your blood really change much since your last blood test 4 months ago?

Depends: Red blood cells last about 100 days. There can certainly be in issue that interferes with production, destroys or causes silent loss of blood. In adults a simple blood test is one of the primary methods to verify general good health. A blood test can change in 24 hrs, depending on the issue involved. You can get more specific answers when you include detail like why you were tested to begin with.

Agree with Dr. F: Blood glucose can change for hour to hour. It depends on the tests you are concerned about and if there has been a change in your health status. The laboratory test results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and your doctor is in a better position to do that as s/he knows more about your health. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
