Acyclovir cream: Acyclovir (Zovirax®) only treats herpes. It has absolutely no effect on any other condition. If you find it soothing, it is only because any moisturizing cream might help. (And by the way, acyclovir cream really isn't very effective against herpes either. For much better control of herpes outbreaks or symptoms, you need to be taking acyclovir or valacyclovir by mouth. Discuss w/ your doctor.)
