Reduce inflammation: Bacterial sinusitis may occur as a result of prolonged inflammation of the sinus tract. Knowing your triggers, allergy testing and reducing exposure to the triggers is one important step. Nasal saline rinses, nasal steroids and reviewing your asthma control are other measures which may help to reduce infections.
