A member asked:

My last ultrasound showed possible pancreatic calcification. can calcium carbonate supplementation aggravate or accelerate the calcification?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Calcification in tissues follows damage to the tissue from multiple causes. In case of pancreas, it is a marker of fat necrosis from pancreatic inflammation. Oral intake of calcium will not affect that. Wish you good health!
