Weight/Age Dependent: Pediatric dosing is based on a child's age and weight, which is usually not the case with adult medications. Unless you know these two pieces of information, the dosage will be a guess, and therefore should not be done.

Depend son age & wt.: Usually 100-250 mg. Per 5 cc/ml.(1 teaspoon). The age and weight of the child and severity of the infection all play a role in the final choice of dosage. Remember that antibiotics are only useful against susceptible bacteria and useless against viruses!
