SPEP: You don't mention why you had this test. ?Any symptoms of autoimmune disease. Anemia? I wouldn't place emphasis on that borderline beta2 result and am reassured by absence of abnormalities of gamma globulin with no monoclonal spike. Your physician is best to advise you and decide whether and when to repeat the test.

Agree with Dr. C: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the information you provided is not a cause for concern. You may talk to your doctor about repeating the test in a year or so. Wish you good health!
