Can you get c diff 3 to 4 months after taking antibiotics?i finished the antibiotic back in february and in beginning of june was having diarrhea for a week.it cleared up for a week but is back again. is that likely c diff?no fever but it smells bad

C diff: Infections may develop in the absence of recent antibiotic use. Hand washing is the most effective way of preventing infections. There are many other reasons to develop diarrhea, infectious and non-infectious and work up including stool studies is typically needed.
