Has my birth control shot been given in the wrong place? my doctor gave it to me above my butt, in my muffin top area and im afraid its the wrong place to have be injected and now i have anxiety from the fear of it being given in the wrong place.

Depends: There is a preparation designed for injection into muscle and another just under the skin. The rate of absorption would differ. It would be reasonable for you to contact that doc's office & clarify what type was used in your case.
