A member asked:

I had 2nd stent placed in artery for stent restenosis. the duplex us after 2nd stent was placed showed some degree of "recoil". what does that mean and does it mean it will eventually get restenosis again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

STENT recoil: Stent recoil is when you use a balloon to dilate a blocked artery, and then a stent is placed to keep the artery open. Stent recoil is when the artery collapses to some degree after the procedure. Most people do fine as long as the recoil isn't too severe. Good luck!
