Ask your doc.: Your rheumatologist chose hydroxychloroquine as a treatment because she/he felt it was the best choice for you, based on your symptoms and overall health condition. However, not all medications work the same way in everyone. How long you have been taking it? This medication can take from 1 to 6 months to work. Call your doctor and tell him/her you are worse. He/she needs to know that.

Call your doctor: It’s never a good idea to increase or decrease your medication dosage without first consulting your doctor. He or she can best evaluate the need for changes. So, please consult with your doctor.
