Normal: About 10-12 women out of 100 will develop a cyst on an ovary when using the Mirena. Most of these cysts will disappear on their own in a month or two. Sometimes the cyst may cause some discomfort or pain, and occasionally this results in a need for surgery. Most likely this cyst will resolve on its own.
