Food sensitivities: Consider checking for other food sensitivities. Gut takes at least 6 months to heal from gluten damage. Casein, the protein in milk, can also cross react with gluten. This is different from being lactose intolerant, and one can be intolerant to both lactose and casein. Consider also avoiding milk.

Milk sugar pbm: Many people with celiac are intolerant to milk sugar until the lining of the intestines heals. If celiac is severe they can also be intolerant to table sugar and other sugars. I would suggest either avoiding sugar containing foods- for the meantime while you adhere to the diet. If you want milk products, consider lactaid enzyme to make up for the sugar enzyme that is missing at this time.
