Not unusual: The early teen years are marked by the emergence of a sexual confusion/exploration. There are many that go through a period of confused identity. By the early 20's as many as 80 % have either reverted to their expected sexual identity or become firmly established in another. You may need to seek out counseling to learn the skill set needed to be supportive as this stage passes.
